Missed call cost calculator for contractors
Enter your average job value, how many calls you miss a week, and your booking rate. It's simple arithmetic on your own numbers, done in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What are missed calls costing you?
Plug in your own numbers. This is simple arithmetic on what you enter. It isn't a KeptRing result or an industry figure.
How it's calculated: missed calls per week × 4.33 (52 weeks ÷ 12 months) × your booking rate × your average job value. It's an estimate based only on your inputs. It assumes every missed call is a real job inquiry and that you'd book answered calls at the rate you entered. Answering a call doesn't guarantee the job. For comparison, KeptRing is $197/month per line on the founding-customer rate (first 10 paying clients) or $249/month standard.
Getting honest inputs
- Missed calls per week: your phone system's call log or carrier portal shows unanswered calls. If you run Google Local Services Ads, your Leads page shows missed calls too.
- Average job value: use your real average ticket, not your biggest job.
- Booking rate: of the calls you do answer, how many become a booked job? Not every missed call is a real job, and the estimate assumes they all are.
For HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, SearchLight published February 2026 averages for Local Services Ads leads, including book rates and average tickets, on our HVAC, plumbing, and electrical pages. They're third-party benchmarks, not your numbers.
Hear it before you decide.
Call the demo line and pretend you're a homeowner with no heat, or say you're a contractor and ask how it works. It costs nothing and takes two minutes.
The demo answers as Summit Heating & Plumbing, a fictional company. You'll hear that it's an automated assistant and that the call may be recorded.
